Ingredients

For the Cajun Seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon paprika

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

For the Pasta

  • 12 ounces fettuccine or penne pasta

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced

  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced

  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)


Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Cajun Seasoning

  1. In a small bowl, mix paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, thyme, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt.

  2. Set aside.

Step 2: Cook the Pasta

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

  2. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.

  3. Drain and set aside.

Step 3: Cook the Chicken

  1. Season the sliced chicken with half of the Cajun seasoning.

  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  3. Add the chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes, or until browned and cooked through.

  4. Remove the chicken and set aside.

Step 4: Sauté the Vegetables

  1. In the same skillet, add butter, bell peppers, onion, and garlic.

  2. Sauté for 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

Step 5: Make the Creamy Sauce

  1. Add the remaining Cajun seasoning to the skillet and stir to coat the vegetables.

  2. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine.

  3. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Step 6: Combine Everything

  1. Add the cooked chicken and pasta to the skillet.

  2. Toss to coat everything in the sauce.

  3. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.

Step 7: Garnish and Serve

  1. Sprinkle with chopped parsley.

  2. Serve immediately and enjoy!
