Ingredients
Here’s what you’ll need to make Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake (serves 12):
For the Cheesecake Layer:
-
8 oz cream cheese (softened)
-
1/2 cup granulated sugar
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
1 large egg
For the Dump Cake:
-
1 can (21 oz) strawberry pie filling
-
1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
-
1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
-
1/4 cup sliced almonds or crushed graham crackers (optional, for topping)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and egg until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly over the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Dollop the cream cheese mixture over the strawberry filling. Use a spatula to gently spread it into an even layer.
Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the cream cheese layer. Drizzle the melted butter over the top, covering as much of the cake mix as possible.
Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbly. Let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
Notes
-
Don’t overmix the cream cheese layer to keep it smooth and creamy.
-
Let the cake cool slightly before serving to allow the layers to set.
